WeStart Music Production Centre of Piemonte Orientale is a new entity supporting and developing creativity in the field of languages and practices revolving around contemporary jazz.

Original production, research, residency, transdisciplinarity, internationality, and inclusiveness are at the core of this project that aims to investigate the most restless and urgent trajectories of today’s music, those in which paradigms are re-discussed and the boundaries between improvisation, composition, electronics, and performativity are crossed, in a profound dialogue between artistə and community.

Starting with a close planning connection with the NovaraJazz and NU Arts and Community festivals, passing through being the big ears for the most stimulating new proposals emerging from Northern Italy, where WeStart is currently the only Music Production Centre, and that of an incubator for ideas that redesign the imagination and the relationship with the live music audience in the post-pandemic years, WeStart speaks of “we/we”, it speaks of “start/start”, it speaks of “North West/West”, of “art/art”, but above all it speaks the language of that human and sound ecosystem that pushes us to redefine the boundaries of creativity every day.
